I suppose that makes sense if there aren't any retailers nearby that
sell what you want.


We have become a mail order (AKA internet now) society. It is not as
much the money as the convenience. Unfortunately if we do too much of
that, the guy up the street goes out of business and you are forced to
mail order everything.
That is certainly true with electronic parts. When Radio Shack went
out of business, the last of the parts places was gone around here and
they sucked.
