He might do okay out in Flyover, USA, where you live, but not around here. I agree the DC metro area is a pretty godless place. They are not much on family values either. DC always ranks #1 or #2 in per capita alcohol consumption, drug use and unwed birth in most surveys. . He's not running in DC. Urban sprawl has made most of suburban Maryland pretty much indistinguishable from DC. My ex seriously considered moving back to her old house on South Dakota avenue and selling the Clinton house because DC was a better neighborhood. |

And didn't we once discover your county has a higher crime rate than mine, and one might extrapolate that means more booze and drug use, too. As for unwed birth rates, Florida's is right below DC's, and Maryland's is lower than both. I would guess the rate in my county is lower than in your county. If you separate unincorporated Lee County from Ft Myers, I would take that bet. Ft Myers has the same problems as most big cities and it is concentrated in 2 neighborhoods. I will not dwell on that, lest I be called names. We are getting some new problems since the housing crash because slumlords scooped up a bunch of cheap properties in Lehigh and areas of the Cape. They are now cheap rentals. That is still pretty far from me. |

That statement of yours is based upon absolute ignorance. Are you seriously going to say that PG and near in Montgomery county does not share or even exceed the problems in DC? Do I need to go get the crime reports? Perhaps you should look out the window when you drive through Most of Suburban Maryland is more than parts of PG and Monty County. Further there are many areas of PG that are rural or upscale and are very nice. We live in suburban Maryland and enjoy a relatively low crime rate. -- Sent from my iPhone 6+ |
