It's good that Republicans are the "family value voters," because it
excuse this... While running for governor in 2010, Alabama’s Robert Bentley emphasized his “family values” credentials. The Republican candidate not only ran ads featuring his wife and family, but Bentley also said he believes so strongly in the sanctity of traditional marriage that as far as he’s concerned, when same-sex couples wed, their marriages should be dismissed as “social experiments.” Given what we learned yesterday, the GOP governor probably shouldn’t have made his family such a centerpiece of his platform. Alabama’s Sunday school-teaching governor was accused by his former top cop on Wednesday of breaking the Seventh Commandment – thou shalt not commit adultery. Spencer Collier claims he was fired from his post as head of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Tuesday because he refused to cover up Gov. Robert Bentley’s alleged affair with top political adviser Rebekah Caldwell Mason. - - - At least she isn't his first cousin...I think. |

What's with those southern boys? On our national news this morning I heard a report about Georgia. Seems they can discriminate against same sex couples if their religion supports it. Now two major movie companies (Disney and Marvell?) are threatening to leave the state and take the 80k jobs with them.

Canada is not without its problems: http://www.canada.com/life/Hate+crim...968/story.html Gay men and lesbians in Canada have experienced persistent patterns of discrimination and persecution. They have: Been treated as mentally ill and subjected to conversion therapies, including electroshock treatment Been targeted by discriminatory laws, including criminal prohibition of same-sex practices Not been permitted (until recently) to participate openly in the Armed Forces Faced discrimination in employment and housing; and Been the victims of hate-motivated crimes, anti-gay and anti-lesbian violence, and verbal harassment https://www2.viu.ca/positivespace/ma...rimination.asp -- Ban liars, tax cheats, juvenile name-callers, and narcissists...not guns! |

Well, since he obviously believes in liberties...maybe a Libertarian would be better... ![]() After this debacle in the Remocrat/Depublican parties, nothing would surprise me. |
