I have never gone out through an inlet that was breaking that badly.
Many years ago I was on a sailboat that came in through Ponce Inlet
(Daytona Beach) on a fairly rough day. There were 12 foot buoys
disappearing behind waves just when you needed to see them the most,
and big surf breaking on both sides of us. It was a real white
knuckle job.
