Nice!

I've flown over and driven next to that AFB more times than I would like
and it's an amazing collection of aircraft.
I've never been by it, but would like to see it.
Start here until you can visit it in person...

Unreal.

I was in Tuscon a couple of years ago for a week, and drove by that
place, but didn't have a chance to visit. I did get to go the the only
Titan missile site museum close by, and did the short tour. Really
cool. Saw the control room with the two launch switches, and an inert
Titan in the bay. They have an extended tour once a month on Saturdays,
and I would love to do that. It's sold out well in advance.

When we were in the Dakotas we had planned to rent a boat in North
Dako0ta but the guy said it was too windy so we free lanced a trip up
to Minot for the state fair and I took the AFB tour. They have a
minute man site up there you get a look at along with a bunch of cool
planes.

Some very successful

Some not so much

When I was first at Travis AFB we still had B52's. We never went out there!
The AP's carried loaded weapons and we were told we could be shot. Had
nuke loaded ready birds, and they had their own secure area. Away from our
transports and our flight line. They were still big and impressive at a
distance.
