Visitors will not be allowed to climb into the cockpit for liability reasons https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8388/8...ce122d72_z.jpg Nice! I've flown over and driven next to that AFB more times than I would like and it's an amazing collection of aircraft. I've never been by it, but would like to see it. Start here until you can visit it in person... http://goo.gl/maps/BiFP0 Unreal. I was in Tuscon a couple of years ago for a week, and drove by that place, but didn't have a chance to visit. I did get to go the the only Titan missile site museum close by, and did the short tour. Really cool. Saw the control room with the two launch switches, and an inert Titan in the bay. They have an extended tour once a month on Saturdays, and I would love to do that. It's sold out well in advance. |
