In article , says... Scout expanded their manufacturing facility in Summerville, SC to start building this boat and a couple of 30 something footers as well. Wow, what a boat! http://www.scoutboats.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/420LXF-flyer-FINAL-update.pdf I like this "Weight w/quad 300's/fully loaded!" I like this too "Max Horsepower (4x350)!" The questions is with the quad motors how many minutes does the 500 gallon fuel tank last? === The quads will burn about 140 gals/hr at full throttle, 70 at 1/2 power cruising speed. Personally I'd want diesels in a boat that size but the outboards do have some utility other that the "wow" factor. I was talking to someone recently who is in the marine insurance business. He said that it is becoming increasingly more difficult and expensive to insure triple and quad outboard boats because they are stolen so often. |
