I bought a few boxes of these last week for $24 a box, free shipping,
which works out to be .08 a round. These are pretty much the same as
CCI's round nose Mini Mags, which, if you shop around can also be found
at about the same price. This is about half the price they've been
selling for, when you could find them, six months ago. My heart doesn't
go out to the ammo hoarders who bought up pallets of CCI .22LR ammo in
the hope of becoming lifelong scalpers and being able to resell it at
two or three times these prices.

Please tell me you didn't actually take a picture of ammo to post
showing that you bought some. Or, did you run out to your Maryland Red
Barn, where the owls roost, and take a picture of an ad?

Naw...manufacturer's stock photo. If I posted a photo of my ammo supply,
you'd brownstain your shorts.

Harry, you got 5000 rounds of .223?

Not yet, but I'm working on it. I keep using it up.

This is what a *really* good supply looks like:

Not getting into your 'brown stain' zone I'm sure, but my supply isn't that great but I do have a 10th of it.

The coated steel TULA bullets are tough on barrels. Tested and proven.
And steel cases are tougher on rifle innards than brass cases.

Maybe, maybe not. Some people on the AR forums have digested 4000+ rounds of the stuff through a single arm with little or no significant wear.

Frankly, W'hine, I don't give a flying f*ck what you think, believe, or
do, or whether you live, die, or are captured by your local ISIS

I should have taken some pictures when we were buying 12 ga by the
pallet.
They really didn't last that long when I was splitting it 15 or 20
ways and the shooters were going through 4 or 5 boxes a week.
We did have the reloaders following us around picking up once fired AA
hulls but for $2 a box, I didn't think they were worth picking up,
much less fooling around with reloading them.

I dont' reload any brass either, but then again I dont' shoot near ass much ass i used to.. Usually 'where is dies is wherever it lies"

I save most of my .357/.38 special brass for a friend who reloads. It
could be an interesting hobby, I guess, but it seems too tedious to
interest me, and I don't see any serious $$$ savings.

It's really not my taste, but I can appreciate that many would find it
attractive.

We have a forest behind and to the side of the house, and it is full of
interesting flora and fauna, including foxes, raccoons, deer, et cetera,
and a deep, dry creek bed that dates back many thousands of years.
Almost any afternoon/evening, we have critters walking through the woods
behind the house and sometimes on the lawn.

If I wanted to live next to the water, it wouldn't be on a manmade
canal. We had a summer cottage while I was growing up at the beach in
Milford. That would be my first choice, although not in Connecticut. Not
enough summer, too much winter.
