I still don't "use" my friends for my own personal folly or profit... either way, I was one of the first targets in his selfish play and it actyally hit me at a couple times this summer when I just didn't need it so it caused me personal pain and anxiety... it was a harryesque thing to do. It was also very selfish... Did I miss something or are you suggesting that things said on a newsgroup caused you "personal pain and anxiety". If that's what is happening you might stop using newsgroups and build a sandbox. I probably didn't follow the thread properly.
