Unless CNN is making up stories again, Ferguson has a newly built police station that is located in the predominately white section of town. That's where the Guard was last night. The Guard was *not* deployed to the predominately black section of town. As they should *not* have been. They freed up the cops to do the job cops, not the National Guard, are trained to do. Good call. And of course, both the cops and the national guard have experience shooting unarmed civilians. And of course, you have experience shooting off your mouth with no intellectual content. ****kin' harry, every time he disappears I check the obits to see if it's time to visit my daughter and hand out my book at his funeral... It will be like Cosby, when I'm done, rec.boats is all anybody will remember him for:) |

Putting yourself in Wilson's shoes for a minute, how would you react if a punk kid (and he was a punk) reached into your car window, punched you, and tried to grab your gun? That's not a very good opening scenario for a peaceful resolution. Nope it's not and I agree he was a punk. Or high as a kite. According to the media, Wilson has been negotiating his resignation anyway. There's no way he could ever remain a cop in Ferguson or probably in any other city. He's paying a price. I imagine he could disappear in a big city department if he wanted to but he may be done with the cop biz for personal reasons. Not sure if he would be personally responsible for his legal defense if it had gone straight to a trial or had the GJ indited him. I suspect his union would cover his legal costs. Very likely, the real question is whether sovereign immunity will shield him from a civil action. It would be interesting if Wilson counter sued the family and the people putting up,the money, for raising a thug who put Wilson in th hospital. That video of the strong arm robbery shortly before will be introduced in a civil trial. |

Are there any laws against publicly saying: "I hope somebody shoots Sharpton soon..." that you just posted a few minutes ago? Most likely not. Toad has been wishing such things around here for years. Who posted that? you would have to get a warrant for eternal-september to prove that. Here's a hint, ain't gonna' happen...
