Man what a nice day. A friend of one has a 17ft Jon boat with a 35 evinrude 6 ft beam and stick steering. No speed boat but great to fish out of. We took it up the Wabash river making a 40 mile one way run. The temps were low 70s but the sun felt hot. The "flying fish" (Asian carp) were a pain in some places but not bad in others. Just a nice day enjoying a mid western river. Just got home and I'm beat. If next weekend is as good as today, we'm probably do it again! By the way, did I mention it was a nice day? Lol! Nothing wrong with stick steering. I have it on one of my boats - 350HP, too! I'm glad I don't have to worry about 10# "flying fish"! |
