Subject: 2nd Career Moving Boats??
From: "Sandy K." What type of Captrain's license is required and who do you approach to find employment in this field? At least a "6 pack" license. Better yet a 100 ton masters. Also be curious to know what type of pay is involved. Depends on the size of the boat. But $200 - $350 a day is in the ball park. You will be fighting a bit of an up hill battle as there are quite a number of folks who are either doing this or trying to get to do this. And many times it a who you know not a what you know kind of deal. Capt. Bill Capt. Bill |
