I thought there would be a joke about our community organizer at the
end. Just sadness. :-(

Meaningless as a qualification except for assholes like FlaJim, whose
career highlight was mopping out heads while he was in the Navy.
Why do you retards think military service is any sort of significant
qualification for POTUS?

It may not be a significant qualification for POTUS but it certainly
adds to anyone's experience in whatever goals or objectives they set out
to achieve in life.

Military service certainly dispels any
preoccupation with entitlements and what is thought is "owed" and
replaced with a concept of self-reliance and teamwork.

And right there is why harry hates it so much... It teaches people to
think for themselves.

I don't think Harry has any idea of how the military of the USA is
trained or how it differs from his generalized assumptions. He seems to
assume that those in the military are just mindless lemmings following
predefined standard rules, regulations and general orders. Nothing could
be further from the truth.

The US military is unique in the emphasis on education and training that
even the lowest ranking personal receive. In addition to specific
training in specialized fields, creativity in problem solving, thinking
on one's feet in real time and generating resourceful and creative
responses to threats or problems is encouraged and nurtured. Very few
of other military organizations on the planet receive the amount of
training US military personnel receive.

Another unique aspect of the military is that it produces leaders.
Military personnel are expected to continue studies in both their
specialized field and also in general military leadership. They are
expected to take tests and advance in rank. Those who don't make the
grade or apply themselves to advancement are not recommended to stay in
the military and are discharged after their contractual obligation has
been met. The military does not keep people who have become
"comfortable" with their pay grade or responsibilities.

Not the army that I was in, far from it. You are trained to react
instantly with no thought at all.

Harry has a preconceived and inaccurate notion of how the US military is
trained. Not surprising as it is shared by many with no experience on
the subject.

WAFA. Oh, just kidding Hah-wee. Really.

Is the Brick Layers Union taking good care of you? I find your
membership in that group of honest, hard working men kind of amusing.
