Why do you retards think military service is any sort of significant qualification for POTUS? It may not be a significant qualification for POTUS but it certainly adds to anyone's experience in whatever goals or objectives they set out to achieve in life. One thing that is worth mentioning (I think) is the attitudes of many young people today who have been brought up by and/or influenced by the entitlement obsessed "Gen Y" population. Public school teachers I've talked to see it everyday. Military service certainly dispels any preoccupation with entitlements and what is thought is "owed" and replaced with a concept of self-reliance and teamwork. |

That sort of depends on how you define "entitlement," doesn't it? And there are many employment situations that provide an individual with a concept of self-reliance and teamwork. I'm not saying military service is a waste of time...I'm just saying that it is not any sort of significant qualification for being POTUS. -- If right-wing assholes could fly, rec.boats would be an airport! |

And right there is why harry hates it so much... It teaches people to think for themselves. "Hate" is pretty much a right-wing term these days. I don't "hate" military service. I simply don't believe it is a significant requirement for a POTUS. Oh, and the military teaches "team think," not to think for themselves. -- If right-wing assholes could fly, rec.boats would be an airport! |
