We do have a pretty big space industry tho and a lot of companies are
quietly moving their offices away from those high tax, high crime
areas in the north east. Hertz just moved to my little town and there
is another big international company sniffing around for office space.

So, you're dependent on natural resources and an influx of old
people's money to make a living.

Sounds like you're bunch of freeloading bums.

Floriduh's contribution to society is immesurable, as in none.

Well maybe if you don't like satellites and eating produce in the
winter.

BTW spread the work, don't come here, it sucks. Bugs the size of rats,
snakes and alligators everywhere and we might shoot you.

Too damned many people here now..

Seriously, who the **** wants those west coast starbucks weenies around
anyway...
Ewwww.... Statbucks!

I can honestly say, I have only been in one starbucks and it was the
only place to get a drink in the Airport at the time...

Their 'bold of the day' is usually a pretty good cup of coffee. For drinking at home I like their
'Verona'.

I get two cups of coffee a day limit. I have a Bunn Coffeemaker, and we
use Folgers scooped heavy. One at 7:30 in the morning, one at 7:30 at
night... If I go into a Dunkin Donuts etc, it's a Strawberry smoothie or
coolada, or whatever they call it.

Florida doesn't even make the top 10 list

http://www.policymic.com/articles/22...st-cities-2012

Murders per capita

1: Flint, Michigan
2: Detroit, Michigan
3: New Orleans, Louisiana
4: St. Louis, Missouri
5: Baltimore, Maryland
6: Birmingham, Alabama
7: Newark, New Jersey (Tied)
7: Oakland, California
8: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
9: Cleveland, Ohio
10: Memphis, Tennessee

Another piece of gee whiz info, Idaho has a lower murder rate than
Maine and Maine is called the safest state in the US.

Everyone in Idaho has a gun and a lot of them are machine guns.
Whoa. Those look like drug infested, welfare areas. Maybe a
connection?
No opportunity, ****ty public school systems, living wage jobs gone.

If you've got to make a living to eat and the only job readily
available is running drugs, how many people are going to choose to
starve and how many will choose to engage an educational system that
has failed them where they have no standing?

We've stopped investing in those areas and they've declined, what's
the mystery?

Huge welfare cities. Drug test them all and it will improve
dramatically.

Drug test? Then what? Karens rehab center for the uncureable?

They will be forced to find a job and the baby factory will shut down
ridding society of future losers.

What language is that?

You really that dense or do you just play dumb? Would you rather I
said elocution, syntax and vocabulary? Their communites are isolated
from greater society, not by choice.

How are their communities isolated from greater society? Do they not
have TV's, cable service, no smart phones? Aren't they taught be good
union teachers? Just how are they isolated from from greater society?

jps tends to ignore troublesome questions that get to the facts.

Did you hear that California Supreme Court handed down a ruling saying
that teacher tenure is contrary to a good public school education.

I posted the link to that story a few days ago. The unions out there are definitely ****ed, which in
itself means the judge made a good call.

Was that a ruling or an opinion?

I thought it was a ruling.

http://www.economist.com/news/united-states/21604201-stunning-defeat-teachers-unions-california-brown-v-board-sequel

Of course, the liberal LA Times doesn't like it much:

http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-teacher-tenure-trial-20140612-column.html

But, if the LA Times and teachers' unions are against it, it must be a good ruling.
