They will undoubtedly tell you they also believe in free markets.

Just goes to prove the NRA and a good percentage of gun "enthusiasts"
are insane.

You remind me of JPS

Yes, someone with a brain and consciousness. Thanks for the
compliment!

I notice you've said not a ****ing thing about the merits of making
this gun available or the stupidity of those opposing its manufacture.

Trouble forming an opinion or just lazy?

The point has been made that it's too complicated and therefore
unreliable... FACT: If cops, who use this tool to save lives don't want
it, there is just concern, period. Now you can ignore this observation
in a dishonest manner and continue trolling or... well, just continue
trolling...

No surprise to me a safer handgun is too complicated for NRA members.

How many law enforcement agencies have purchased this firearm? Why not? Do you really believe BAO
wants to buy one?

Here, jps, from the Washington Post (not your most conservative rag):

"Why the consumer backlash against the smart gun, which is also called a “personalized gun”? The
answer can be found in a 2003 New Jersey law: N.J. Stats. sect. 2C:58–2.2 et seq. According to this
statute, once “at least one manufacturer has delivered at least one production model of a
personalized handgun to a registered or licensed wholesale or retail dealer in New Jersey or any
other state,” a process in set in motion which, within 29 months or less, will outlaw the sale of
all ordinary handguns in New Jersey. So Second Amendment supporters are certainly correct, in my
view, to make it clear that they will boycott any store or wholesaler which carries a smart handgun,
since such an action would trigger a handgun ban in New Jersey. Counting on courts to solve the
problem would be reckless, especially given the Third Circuit’s poor record on right to carry
litigation."

Perhaps you can learn something:

Pass it on to your buddies, krause and B O.

It's good to see you are the most consistent name caller and tosser of
snarky innuendo in rec.boats.

Is there anyway you could combine your golf game, your toy airplanes and
your closet full of firearms into a self-inflicted gun accident?

What exactly is your position on private gun ownership? I am not sure
I recall you defining it.

Do you favor a total ban on private gun ownership or do you favor
specific laws that are intended to limit gun ownership to sane,
"responsible" people?

Handgun Trigger Safety Act

(1) MANUFACTURING- Beginning on the date that is 2 years after
the date of enactment of this Act, no person may manufacture in the

(2) DISTRIBUTION IN COMMERCE- Beginning on the date that is 3
years after the date of enactment of this Act, no person may
distribute in commerce any handgun that is not a personalized handgun
or a retrofitted personalized handgun.

(3) EXEMPTIONS FOR ANTIQUE FIREARMS AND MILITARY FIREARMS-
Paragraphs (1) and (2) shall not apply to--

(A) an antique firearm;

(B) the manufacture of a firearm that is sold to the
Department of Defense; or

(C) the sale or distribution of a firearm to the
Department of Defense.

The next paragraph to be added:

(4) OWNERSHIP-Beginning on the date that is 4 years after the date of enactment of this Act,
no person may own any handgun that is not a personalized handgun or a retrofitted personalized
handgun.

--- I wonder how they'd 'retrofit' a Sig Sauer P226?
