I already know, it gives you a place to attempt to assert some
perceived superiority over others.
The only problem for you is that you get exposed as misinformed as
often as you actually make a valid point.

In this case you are complaining about a policy that is actually less
oppressive than one in a town 10 minutes from your house.

Bums can't sleep on the streets, parks and beaches in those towns,
blanket or not.

Yawn.

Less than ten minutes from your house eh. You could save a poor soul or
two from freezing to death. If you only had a heart.

Can't answer the question, eh?

You can't demonstrate that ANYONE EVER took a blanket from a homeless
person.

You still don't get it. As I posted earlier, just chalk it up as an
experiment on my part to see who had a black heart.

I get it, start out with a lie and see who calls you on it.

You still never addressed the policy right up the road from you that
has exactly the same effect. If a homeless person tried to spend the
night in your beach towns they would be run off, blanket or not.

It wasn't a lie, silly. I simply posted a URL that discussed what was
happening in Pensacola. I believe that article discussed taking blankets
from the homeless.

And I believe you're telling stories again.

What you believe is completely, totally unimportant to me. If you are

You never cited anything that said anyone was "taking blankets away
from the homeless".
That was simply one of the tests in the law against camping.

As for Chesapeake Beach, which you keep bringing up, you should know
that we don't spend any time there, other than to drive through it once
in a while on the way to somewhere else. Years ago, we used to frequent
a nice little restaurant that specialized in Italian seafood dishes such
as cozze, but it changed hands and so did the menu. Most of the rest of
the restaurants there still reek of cigarettes from the days when
smoking in them was allowed, so we avoid them.

I have no idea what is happening in Chesapeake Beach in the homeless.

I know people who are ignorant of things happening near them but I
have never seen anyone as proud of it as you.

You think I should call people at random who live there and ask them
what is happening? The local little newspapers don't cover much of
anything beyond kiddie sports and police reports. The last thing I read
about the place, a few weeks ago, had to do with approval of a backup
water pump for the local wet park.

Typical liberal attitude. You are happy to bitch about feigned
inhumanity somewhere else but you sleep soundly when it happens around
the corner from you. I still bet if there was a homeless camp at the
end of your street, you would be dialing 91.

You're aware that some sort of homeless camp existed in Chesapeake Beach?

For the information challenged, this is the ordinance

There are no blanket confiscation clauses

That's nice, but I posted a news story, not the ordinance.

In Pensacola, it is illegal for a homeless person to try to stay warm

under a blanket.

Maybe they ought to bus them to Georgia.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/n...havoc/5405899/

"In Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal said the National Guard opened 65 emergency shelters, and seven more were open at state parks along Interstate 20."

I wonder if they'll give away free blankets there?

Of course they would lose their "freedom" (freedom to get

drunk/stoned)

Or their 'freedom' in general. You can't tell me that many[if not
most] of the 'shelterless' don't have this attitude-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvLLQAAr8zQ

It is usually their quest for "freedom" that keeps them from gainful
employment, keeps them from going to shelters and what got them
kicked
out of the Army.

I had *no* idea you righties were university and professionally
trained
case workers with at least bachelors degrees in social work and
intimate
knowledge of the plight of the homeless gained from your years of
working directly with hundreds or even thousands of homeless folks.
Perhaps you should get on the lecture circuit.

if those Educated, DR. Dr. Dr. soial workers were worth a ****, why do
we have so many street people? Why are they street people, alcoholic,
drug users forever? Most people with a Psch. degree went in to the
field to find out why they, themselves, are screwed up. How many cure
themselves?

Perhaps you should just chalk up my posts on this matter as an
experiment of mine to see who in wrecked.boats had a black heart.

Maybe you should answer the question instead of changing the subject.
But that is your MO.

Maybe I thought your question was too ludicrous to answer.

Ha!
