I would go if they could "beam" me there but 18 hours on a plane is too much for me, even in 1st class.. We are going but stopping in Tahiti first. The airline pricing is getting idiotic. In the 1980's I traveled business class a lot on overseas trips to Asia and Australia. Was about a 50% boost over Coach. Last year the trip to South Africa was $1700 for coach, SAA does have more room in coach, and business was an extra $5700. Our trip we are planning to Tahiti, NZ, and Cairnes was an extra $10000 for business over coach. And we are only paying about $4000 for the flights now. At least the foreign carriers have greater seat pitch. |
