It turns out that the trigger pull is short enough and smooth enough that you hardly notice. In my opinion and experience, double action is probably less likely to jam when you are depending on it. I'm no expert on the inner workings of a pistol, but I can't see why SAO would be more prone to jamming than DAO. I've never had either one jam, except when a friend was shooting. He's over 85, and I think he was suffering from 'limp wrist', so the S&W M&P 9 was jamming on him. After I told him to keep his wrist firm, he had no more trouble. My friend with the LC9 is very happy with it. He likes the design because it makes 'pocket carry' very easy. I'm sure it's just as accurate as the Sigs, etc. But, it's probably nowhere near as accurate as a CZ75 that's been reworked to the tune of thousands of dollars like our friend here had at one time.
