That's certainly the predictions.

I don't understand something though ... and this isn't political. (I
have little interest in who Virginia elects as governor).

MSNBC is reporting that McAuliffe is leading (based on exit polls) with
15 percent of precincts reporting.

Yet, when you go to the Virginia.gov website that shows real-time vote
counts, it shows Cuccinelli is currently in the lead 50.7% to 41.9% with
over 36 percent of precincts reporting.

I think there should be no exit polls published until all voting precincts
are closed!

They weren't. No exit poll info was released until after 7 pm. D'oh.

The exit poll results weren't released until after the polls closed. I
think that's a law.

MSNBC released their exit poll results immediately after the polls
closed and were showing McAuliffe in the lead even through the actual
counted votes initially showed Cuccinelli substantially ahead.

I am referring to a lot of elections that span states. Make sure someone
in a Western time Zone is not influenced. Happened in the Bush - Gore
Florida election. What about other states having elections at the same
time. There is no problem with freedom of speech, just a delay until all
polls are closed. Nothing is censored.

Yeah, that damned freedom of speech thing should be done away with....

Bull****!!!! You can not campaign near a voting place. Why should the
media be able to influence an election on Election Day? What does exit
polls accomplish? The media broke the law with impunity in the Al Gore
debacle in Florida. Two time zones and they reported results while some
polling places were still open in the Florida Panhandle. People actually
left the lines and did not vote, as they figured their vote was going to be
wasted anyway. Reporters should have spent jail time for that law breaking
as well as the media executives.

The law where you can not post results or exit polls until the polling
