Yes, and they can activate your mic and camera too... The only to
avoid
it (if they are looking at you) is to take your battery out.

A friend of mine is a pretty big name Civil Rights Lawyer and Criminal
Defense Atty in NYC... His statement made me much more comfortable
with
all of this really.. He said "if they have gotten to the point where
they are watching your movements, or tapping into the media devices on
your phone, you are already ****ed, and they are coming anyway so you
really shouldn't worry much about *that*... "
