Default Funny, but when he was in Congress...

....I thought Joe Scarborough was way too conservative for my taste. But
his party has moved so far to the right, in Republican terms, he's
almost a centrist.

He said this about his party on Friday:

Republican Joe Scarborough stunned political observers by blasting his
fellow Republicans for their hostile posture towards minority voters on
MSNBC’s Morning Joe Friday morning.

In a surprising outburst, Scarborough chastised Republicans for
antagonizing gay and lesbian Americans, Latinos, and African-Americans,
groups who care deeply about gay marriage, immigration reform, and
racial discrimination, respectively.

“You take Trayvon Martin, it would have cost republican leaders
absolutely nothing,” Scarborough said, “absolutely nothing, to just show
a little respect.”

“It doesn’t cost you anything to stay off of talk radio or prime time
cable news shows where you get in the middle of this divisive debate and
send a message to African-Americans and other minorities you don’t
care,” he continued.

“The Republican Party right now is sending out signals,” Scarborough
warned. “If you’re not white, you’re really not welcome in this party.”

“These people on talk radio, these people on cable news that are saying
these things that are driving off the very swing voters we need to get
elected to the White House again,” Scarborough concluded.

Among the really crazy Republican/Conservatives, Scarborough no longer
is considered "one of them." That's probably a good deal for Morning Joe.

You have to wonder which bat**** crazy the GOP is going to nominate for
POTUS in 2016. At the moment, Rand Paul is the leader of the
pack...another really nutso conservative, and a racist, to boot, *and*
he's no better on his feet with facts than Rick Perry.
