Well said, except that it's because of high paid corporate CEOs that she is a bad shopper. If CEOs
were paid less, she'd be a much better shopper, and not be obese - along with her 8
born-out-of-wedlock kids.

I don't know why you can't understand the relationship between overpaid CEOs and 'bad shoppers'.

It's cheap to stuff your face with fast food crap. Going to a store

to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and meat is freakin' expensive.

The lower our income, the worse our diet. You can't even feed your

family crap on minimum wage, which is becoming the case for more and

more Americans. Average age of fast food workers at McDonalds is 29.

Welcome to the new America, where money is held by the rich and the

rest of the country can go **** themselves.

It is obvious you don't eat a lot of fast food.

For the price of McDonalds for 4 ($20), I can buy a whole chicken ($6)

a few potatoes ($2) and a package of fresh broccoli ($2) and still

have $10 left over.

I won't even try to explain how much rice and beans that will buy.

People go to fast food joints because they are lazy.

I was behind a gal in the groce3ry check-out and she had a cart load of chips, soda, candy, various other snacks, a gallon of milk and some sugar laced cereal, but nothing else substantial.

The bill was about 60+ bucks. She paid for it with a WIC card....

This shows that low-income doesn't 'force' people to eat unhealthy stuff....
.

My sister raised 5 kids without a whole lot of money.
They ate well
The difference was she understood you pay for convenience and usually
convenient food is not healthy food.

I think a big part of the problem is people do not understand basic
nutrition and what foods will fill those needs. I learned from my
sister if you don't have a lot of money, the grocery store is a better
resource than eating out and if you know what to buy, you can get a
lot of food for not that much money.

Unfortunately you still have to cook it. Mc Donalds will just push it
out the window.

They spend too much time on how to put on a condom and have safe sex rather than teaching the
kids about eating right.

In DC, about 80% of child births are to unwed mothers. The safe sex idea must not get much play. Or,
the kids are dropping out of school earlier than the instruction is presented.

John (Gun Nut) H.

Are you saying that two parent's must be "wed" to raise a child in a
decent manner? I know that you are too narrow minded to grasp this, but
in this day and age your statistic doesn't show a damned thing about how
the children of that 80% are raised.

It should be obvious to you that Herring is a racist and his
never-ending references to cities where black people are in the majority
are just another way for him to express his racist feelings without
actually coming out and saying "I'm a racist." It's code language,
something he and his fellow GOP dirtbags use frequently.

Now, what part of that was unreadable?

As to how the kids are raised, check out the high school graduation rate of rising 8th graders in
DC. That should provide an indication. Oh, and who said anything about 'two parents'. Most often,
the father is nowhere to be found.

I agree. Home Ec was dropped because it was seen as sexist and shop
was dropped because it implied that everyone was not going to go to
college.
Now we have home makers who do not have a clue how to prepare
nutritious meals and think they need a licensed union electrician to
put a plug on a lamp but not a clue how they could become that person.

Watching a report now on Doctors prescribing a "specific diet" to those
who "don't know how to eat healthy"... Another way of handing uninformed
voters, money....
