Carnegie hall is arguably one one of the very best music venues in
this country, if not the world. We lived only about 10 minutes away at
one time and have heard a lot of people perform there over the years,
all the way from Dave Brubeck to Sir Georg Solti and the Chicago
Symphony Orchestra.

Solti had an absolutely masterful command of Mahler's symphonies and
Chicago's brass section. I still get the chills just thinking about
it.

Played well in the right venue they are very listenable, otherwise,
not so much. :-) Solti and the Chicago Sym played them very well
and Carnegie Hall can't be beat.
