I bought a Ruger air rifle to "plink" in my yard. It's a one pump

the lightweight alloy pellets it is 1,400 fps. Accurate as hell too.
Not a single can has survived. Only problem is it's as loud or louder
than my .22LR Ruger single 10 revolver because the exiting pellet is
supersonic and you get the "crack" as the sound barrier is breeched.

I bought it to shoot on my property without making any neighbors
nervous, but it's loud enough to probably catch their attention. No
complaints so far though.

I have a Sheridan 5mm pump air rifle that probably has a lower muzzle
velocity. With just a pump or two it's fairly quiet. It used to be my
mother's "squirrel rifle".

Nope. She wanted something bigger. She ended up buying a S&W
Governor that shoot's regular 45 rounds and also 410 bore shotgun
rounds.

I tried it out last week for the first time. Very nice. The 410
rounds are weird but I could see them as being good for snakes. They
have 3 large pellets and a bunch of smaller ones. Spread is
obviously dependent on range but up close ( 3 yards) it was about 3
inches.

If you are really thinking about snakes, use #8s or even #9 skeet.
Those disk shot are meant for 2 legged snakes.

Luckily, we don't have those snakes up here - yet. When the global warming *really* kicks in that
will probably change.

The strange thing is, I am hearing they might be able to survive in
places down in the tidewater of Md and Va.

That wouldn't surprise me a bit. There's lots of swampland around.

She likes it much better. So do I. Gotta give her credit.

I'm looking hard at this one...

Beautiful gun. You could take on an armored division with it. Why a .357?

John (Gun Nut) H.
Why not? It comes with a .38 recoil spring for lighter use!
Yeah, you're right. I fire .38s in my revolver all the time. The .357's are too expensive.

John (Gun Nut) H.

It's the perfect gun for my collection. Unique and well-made.

I'd try to get another magazine from them for that price.

John (Gun Nut) H.

They show a list price and I think they do include two.
