Default 1st time boat owner getting insurance

No offence but I wouldn't insure you either. Perhaps talk to them again and
do a reputable course that will gain you a the relevant competency
certificates in your country. Then they may be more interested.

I'm thinking of buying my first boat and I'm interested in a 36' Hunter. I
asked for a quote from United Marine Underwriters, but I was declined due

to
the size of the boat and no previous boat ownership experience.

Does anyone know of an insurance company that will help 1st time big boat
owners?

Rick
