Default 1st time boat owner getting insurance

BoatUS gave me a very reasonable quote, I'll be going with them.

Thanks,

Rick

Thanks for the reply. At this point I'd just like to be able to get

basic
insurance so I can buy a boat. I've taken classes (I have my ASA Basic
Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering certification) and I have

sailed
big boats with captains several times.

That sounds odd. I thought those were the kind of courses that insurance
companies liked their customers to take. Have you tried another company
yet?

John.
