Actually, my wife wants a smaller pistol. Might try to find a more compact 9mm. Be sure and jump through the "loophole!" PS Seriously consider a .380 for the little woman. My DIL just got one and loves it. She isn't that girly, but KAHR and Taurus both make a pink model. Kahr makes a 9mm smaller than the ppk and many other 380's And is certainly made for the (much) smaller hand. It hurts like hell to shoot, if it fits in your hand like a derringer. You should try one out. It might surprise you. I have and they catch me right in the meat of the thumb. Hurts like hell. Ditto the Glock subcompacts; 26, 27, 29, 30, etc. . You ought to try a little.25 auto. They're definitely meat slicers Especially my wife's Bauer http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/9/...kelBauer25.jpg Looks like my first gun - a Raven. That was a POS. I don't know anything about the Bauer. |

[Attributed to Harry Krause] Taurus has a nice .380 that would fit a woman's hands well. Don't want to go to another caliber. The S&W 39-2 that I just got fits pretty well, and isn't as heavy as the M&P9. Salmonbait Why don't you give it to the fetus. ****ing retard. |

My PPK/S is stamped ".9mm - 380 ACP" They are not interchangeable like a .38/.357 Mag. Speaking of interchangeability - I came across a box of .38 S&W rounds, which appear almost identical to the .380 round. They chamber in the .357 revolver just a little more snug than the .38 Specials and the .357 rounds do. When looking for information, I find some who say they cannot be interchanged with the .38 Special, and some who say they can - if fired in a gun designed for .38 Special - not vice-versa. Informative table from: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346279 They are lower pressure and have been easily mistaken for and shot in Specials for years and years. That said, here is Randy Lyman's Caliber Interchangeability chart: CARTRIDGE INTERCHANGEABILITY CHART ------------------------------------ Cartridges within the groups shown are interchangeable.
