I wish Walther made a 9mm in the same size as the PK380.

----------------------------------------

Isn't a "380" just a short version of a 9mm round?

My PPK/S is stamped ".9mm - 380 ACP"

They are not interchangeable like a .38/.357 Mag.

Speaking of interchangeability - I came across a box of .38 S&W rounds, which appear almost
identical to the .380 round. They chamber in the .357 revolver just a little more snug than the .38
Specials and the .357 rounds do. When looking for information, I find some who say they cannot be
interchanged with the .38 Special, and some who say they can - if fired in a gun designed for .38
Special - not vice-versa.

Informative table from: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346279

They are lower pressure and have been easily mistaken for and shot in Specials for years and years.
That said, here is Randy Lyman's Caliber Interchangeability chart:

CARTRIDGE INTERCHANGEABILITY CHART
------------------------------------
Cartridges within the groups shown are interchangeable. Other
substitutions should not be made without specific recommendation
of the firearms manufacturer, since improper combinations could
result in firearm damage or personal injury.
