iPhone Jailbreak...
....well, it finally arrived, shortly after noon today, and I managed to
download it before the servers around the world were overwhelmed. There must be a zillion iPhone users downloading the new JB. Unfortunately, I was only able to download one of my favorite utility apps from Cydia before it got slammed. This happened to Cydia with the last big JB, too, and server upgrades were made, but...not enough of them, so it is going to take a few days to download what I want. The one I got is a minor app. It kills programs running in the background. I was hoping to get AUXO, but that will have to wait until the rush is over. Here's a snap of the home page, with Cydia there, resting comfortably. http://tinyurl.com/bdzgejg Yes, I know...I have three weather apps there. I have two others on other home pages. I'm trying out RadarUS and the Weather app with the sun over the green field. Why am I posting this? Oh, for comic relief...to get away from the gun posts and Snotty's paranoid delusions. |

I told you so. You really should not comment here on computer or phone "tech" matters, because your understanding of them is almost non-existent. With my carrier and with most other carriers, if you want your phone unlocked and you are a customer of at least some months in good standing, the carrier will arrange for your phone to be unlocked. That's how I got my older iPhone unlocked. Perfectly legal and simply an accommodation for a customer. My new iPhone came from the carrier *unlocked*, so unlocking it wasn't an issue. Oh, and "jailbreaking" a phone isn't illegal, either. Moron. |

Harry Krause, is a crook... *You* and your full-patch buddies may "crack" a phone to steal services, but I have no interest in doing that, nor am I even aware of any apps that might allow that. I don't even know of any cell phone services that I would want to "steal," if I could do so and knew how. I never exceed the monthly allotment of minutes I pay for, most of my "messaging" is with other iPhone users, so we use iMessage and Apple's servers, so there is no additional charge for that. I don't need to "tether" my iPad. So tell us, Mr. Computer/Cell Phone/IT expert...what " cell services" do you think I am stealing? Oh, and how's your Psychosis Blackmail thingie going? I "jailbroke" my phone so I could customize its looks and add to its features. All my my "add-on" stuff comes via Cydia, and about half of them are free and about half required a payment from me. You are once again discussing technical matters of which you have no knowledge. |

What jailbreaking does is open up a closed OS. :) You are tampering with Apple's operating system and violating the TOS you agreed to when you started using the phone. Just another example of how low life operates. Lower than whale ****, you are. You crack a phone to steal services. Folks steal services on line all the time, it's why we have spent so much money on spam over the years. Folks like harry think they are somehow entitled to that which belongs to others, so they steal it. Harry Krause, is a crook... You stupid little twit!!! It's been explained to you over and over again and you are just too stupid or dense or both to understand the simplest of things. If you and or one of your buddies explains it, I don't read it, I read long enough to figure out it's one of you, and I skip to the next post.... The folks here who are worth reading, agree with me.. |

Folks like harry think they are somehow entitled to that which belongs to others, so they steal it. Harry Krause, is a crook... You aren't fooling anybody. We know what you are up to. |
