Gun buying indecisiveness!!!

After more talking and looking and holding, I've cancelled the order for the S&W SD9VE and ordered
this one: http://tinyurl.com/aap58hw

Even my wife jumped on the bandwagon after listening to my daughter's father-in-law, who runs
Def-Tac. ( http://defensivetact.com/ ) Even the dealer at Gander Mountain, who describes himself as
an avid shooter, recommended the M&P very highly. So, I should get the firearm in a week or so.

You could get a Baretta 92FS for less than that.

I hope you aren't buying that thing for CCW.

He's going to stick it down the front of his trousers, with the grip
hanging out, and pretend he is reliving Miami Vice. When he grabs it,
he'll probably fire it and, if he had any, shoot off his testicles. You
can get a thumb safety on an M&P, but it is an option.

It's an okay pistol, nothing special, not even within its retail price
range.

If you put that thing down the front you wouldn't have to fire it to
lose testicles, at least not with that sharp appendage at the top of
the grip. I don't know what S&W was thinking, but that makes the gun
silly for a CCW

Why do you think it is a concealed carry pistol? It's service pistol
size. That appendage is called a beavertail, btw. It keeps the slide
from ripping off the skin on your hand as the pistol cycles.

As of yet, nobody has confirmed that it isn't.

OK I will. It is not a ccw pistola.

Oh, OK, then to suit the purpose, I would recommend the Ruger #10101.

Why would anyone carry a near 3 lbs .22 pistol as a CCW?

Why do you say it is silly for the S&W M&P 9 to because used as a CCW
pistol?
