Since when?

I got the impression you rode a bit but didn't race, and your daughter
races, correct?

You're too old and out of shape to be competitive, like me.

LOL... uh, no...

Yeah, because the ranks of competitive motorcycle racers are full of 50+
year old guys with heart conditions and cancer. I'll look for your name
among the winners at the Isle of Man TT.

Of course not.. I ride and sometimes race to keep an understanding of
the mechanics of riding, hone my skills, and train my daughter. Although
I generally take the "backwards first", I (and my daughter) are known
for very technical form...

back to the kids.. What are you doing with your time don, posting to

Make up your mind. First, you imply you are not too old to be a
competitive racer, and then you agree, you are too old.

I ride, too, and have been riding off and on since college, when I owned
a used Honda "Dream," and then a used Honda SuperHawk. Before that, I
had use of a Lambretta motor scooter. I've had a half dozen or so
motorcycles over the years, including the one I have now.

When I had that first Honda, the "boys" out in Kansas with the
"spiffier," faster Brit bikes would "insult" my bike with its Japanese
cartoonish fenders, but that Dream had it all over the BSAs and Triumphs
because it would start the first time, every time, and it never left a
pool of oil on the ground where it was parked.

I like to watch motorcycle flat track racing once in a while, and when
the Isle of Man TT races are on TV, I watch some of them.

Now that's a low blow. Don't you remember how he fed the kid beer, gave
the kid a car, and paid his insurance. Now that's nurturing. The only
reason the kid moved out was that he was too embarrassed to bring girls
back to the hovel.
