Default Great Mars Curiosity pic

When you go to the link you can scroll down and to the bottom right there are links to the image in different resolutions. If you click the “full size”, when it comes up it won’t be very large, but then you can click the image to zoom, and there’s an incredible amount of detail.

Those Martians make some great cameras, don't they!

One of the better uses of our tax dollars in my opinion, and certainly
the space program as a whole is one of the great legacies of our time.

What fools and the science hating right fail to understand is that from
the beginning, NASA programs have historically given us a lot of
valuable scientific information, problems and solutions. Over 6300
patents, and NASA publishes a yearly list of every commercialized
technology that it developed in Spinoff. Like satellite radio? Thank
NASA... Invisble braces, scratchproof eyeglass lenses, memory foam, ear
thermometer, cordless tools, those pitcher water filters, and on and on.

I'm very reluctant to apply labels and politics to the NASA funding
debate. I think there's as much anti science sentiment on the left as
there is on the right based on what I've seen and heard. There are
also some issues that are worthy of debate in terms of priorities and
funding levels.
