Winterized the boat and had the marina yank it last week. Beautiful

weekend to work on a boat but a shame...end of season. what a nice

year it was...and 6 months to Spring!

I'm not ready. In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we come back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a different slip so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November.

I'm not ready either. But...the leaves have started their merry trip to earth, and I've not even

gotten a good start on the bumper crop of acorns we had this year.

Don't ever buy a house with twelve big oak trees thereon.

Too late... we have nothing but 90 foot tall oaks. Huge acorns. But our leaves are just now starting to get some color. Squirrels are going "nuts" right now. I bought one of these a couple years ago... worth every penny.

I bought one of these 13 years ago and I haven't had to do anything with

leaves but run over them with it.

When my leaves are at full-tilt, I'd have to use that every other day, and the bag would have to be emptied 20 times. My riding mower, with the two huge bags, is useless after 4-5 days.

I don't use the bagger. I just run over the leaves and they disappear.

You need a few more trees!

I have had to pay to have a few of them cut down over the past couple of

years. One was an 80 foot tall blue spruce that fell over in a wind

storm. $1000 to have it removed and the fence repaired. Then there was

the 80 foot tall Norway maple that needed to be cut down, $1500, because

it had a Y that was splitting to the ground. There were two wires

holding it together about 40 feet up.

This doesn't count all of the work done on the other trees over the last

13 years.

Fortunately, I have a huge natural area in the back that I can blow the leaves into.

My neighbors get ****ed when I throw our dog poop over the fence into

their yard. I suppose they would have the same problem if I blew my

leaves into their yard.

I really don't believe you throw the dog poop into their back yard!

Luckily my wife takes the dogs for a walk every day and they eat and

poop while on their walk. The problem is that my wife brings the poop

home and tosses it into our trash can. It is not pleasant around the

trash can in the summer time.

Good for her being a responsible dog owner.
I have a dedicated trash can lined with a large garbage bags for that purpose.
It would be a perfect spot to dispose of any unwelcome vermin that might come onto my property uninvited.

I tell her that if I wasn't married I wouldn't never have to put out the
recycling bins.
