Done for the winter

Winterized the boat and had the marina yank it last week. Beautiful
weekend to work on a boat but a shame...end of season. what a nice
year it was...and 6 months to Spring!

I had my boat out on Friday cruising the harbour and circling three harbour islands plus buzzing a large cruiseship.
Guess it's time for winterization.
Since the boat was brand new this year, I'll probably pay the $200 to have the dealer winterize it.
I've received my Navigloo cover from Costco to protect the boat over our long damp winters.

I'm not ready. In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we come back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a different slip so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November.

I'm not ready either. But...the leaves have started their merry trip to earth, and I've not even
gotten a good start on the bumper crop of acorns we had this year. Don't ever buy a house with
twelve big oak trees thereon.

I'll be taking mine in for the winterization and shrink wrapping next week.

Too late... we have nothing but 90 foot tall oaks. Huge acorns. But our leaves are just now starting to get some color. Squirrels are going "nuts" right now. I bought one of these a couple years ago... worth every penny.

I never winterize, just take it out for a run at least once a month until it warms in March. It gets regular doses of marine Sta-bil all year long.

Winter ???

---------------------------------
That is our rainy season. Dungeness Crab opener Nov. 3. What with the
falling off the roof in June, have not really used the boat much. Cast off
wrist, so Striped Bass season is now.

Get a custom cover. You will regret the generics.

I do have the custom cover for the boating season but it's not recommended for heavy snowfall. This Navigloo shelter is an alternative to shrinkwrap.
