I had my boat out on Friday cruising the harbour and circling three harbour islands plus buzzing a large cruiseship. Guess it's time for winterization. Since the boat was brand new this year, I'll probably pay the $200 to have the dealer winterize it. I've received my Navigloo cover from Costco to protect the boat over our long damp winters. |

In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we come back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a different slip so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November. |

Dungeness Crab opener Nov. 3. What with the falling off the roof in June, have not really used the boat much. Cast off wrist, so Striped Bass season is now. |

Get a custom cover. You will regret the generics. I do have the custom cover for the boating season but it's not recommended for heavy snowfall. This Navigloo shelter is an alternative to shrinkwrap. |

There have been a couple of racoons in the area and some squirrels but mostly it's cats and dogs. That's what I liked about the Yukon...just throw a poly tarp over a wooden framework and the aluminum would be fine. the new boat has vinyl deck but also carpeting. |

Oh, I probably could have taken the little 18 footer out, but I didn't want to risk ripping up another lower end... The 13 footer, would have been guaranteed destruction. |

My riding mower, with the two huge bags, is useless after 4-5 days. I don't use the bagger. I just run over the leaves and they disappear. You need a few more trees! I have had to pay to have a few of them cut down over the past couple of years. One was an 80 foot tall blue spruce that fell over in a wind storm. $1000 to have it removed and the fence repaired. Then there was the 80 foot tall Norway maple that needed to be cut down, $1500, because it had a Y that was splitting to the ground. There were two wires holding it together about 40 feet up. This doesn't count all of the work done on the other trees over the last 13 years. Fortunately, I have a huge natural area in the back that I can blow the leaves into. My neighbors get ****ed when I throw our dog poop over the fence into their yard. I suppose they would have the same problem if I blew my leaves into their yard. I really don't believe you throw the dog poop into their back yard! Luckily my wife takes the dogs for a walk every day and they eat and poop while on their walk. The problem is that my wife brings the poop home and tosses it into our trash can. It is not pleasant around the trash can in the summer time. |

In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we come back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a different slip so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November. I'm not ready either. But...the leaves have started their merry trip to earth, and I've not even gotten a good start on the bumper crop of acorns we had this year. Don't ever buy a house with twelve big oak trees thereon. Too late... we have nothing but 90 foot tall oaks. Huge acorns. But our leaves are just now starting to get some color. Squirrels are going "nuts" right now. I bought one of these a couple years ago... worth every penny. http://www.shindaiwa-usa.com/Products/Blowers/EB802.aspx I bought one of these 13 years ago and I haven't had to do anything with leaves but run over them with it. http://www.toro.com/en-us/homeowner/mowers/walk-power- mowers/Pages/Series.aspx?sid=Super-Recycler When my leaves are at full-tilt, I'd have to use that every other day, and the bag would have to be emptied 20 times. Good for her being a responsible dog owner. I have a dedicated trash can lined with a large garbage bags for that purpose. It would be a perfect spot to dispose of any unwelcome vermin that might come onto my property uninvited. Thanks for the reminder. We've all seen photos of your front yard littered with trash cans and other debris. What a disgusting pig sty. Your property must be a *vermin magnet*. Next he'll be telling us he has a big red barn and a LTP! :) |

You'd best stay away from your former BFF, Snotty. His disease seens to be highly contageous. Pestilence and disease is something your poor neighbors have to deal with.
