Default Fresh water pump?

Over the winter I'm pulling the boat out of the slip for a bit, and am going to set it up for dual batteries (already have the second battery as a spare, just need the switch and cables). I'm a lake boater, and have always wanted a fresh water wash-down pump.

How does that setup work? I know I'll need a pump, wiring and hoses, but I want to just pull lake water from a pickup. Where does that typically mount, how are they configured, etc. It's on a pontoon, anyone with experience?
