You can go all the way to 2000 grit but you need an air tool to wet
sand safely. You'll still need to buff it out and wax it even after
2000 grit.

Awlgrip is tricky to brush and *very* dangerous to spray unless you've
got the full moon suit with an external positive pressure feed.
