Can anyone tell me where to find a good pair of shorts for swimming or
paddling that have pockets that zip closed? I can not find any except with velcro and they do not really close securely. -- Vinnie All outgoing email is scanned by E-Trust |

Jim, to help Vinnie out, I'll put the description from that site he
Versatile Water Shorts made of smart fabric. Men's Water Shorts * Lightweight 4-ply nylon * UPF 30 protection blocks 96% of the sun's harmful UV rays * 100% polyester mesh liner * Two side pockets — one with a handy key clip * Hidden key pocket * Welt pockets with covered zippers * Same quality, better price: was $26 Versatile Water Shorts made of "smart fabric." This morning you're going for a hike. Then it's off to the beach. Next, settle in for a picnic. Think you'll find time to change your clothes? You won't have to - if you're wearing these Water Shorts. They're fairly amazing, starting with the fabric. The 4-ply 100% nylon fabric resists water and dries quickly. It even blocks 96% of the sun's harmful UV rays, so the fun can last a little longer. The Shorts have a zip fly, snap front, elastic waist and web belt. But there's mo light and comfortable, these Shorts have hidden features that add comfort and convenience. Take the pockets: not only do you have two side pockets, but we've added a key clip inside the right pocket in case you want to wade without worrying about your keys. Three more handy welt pockets (two on the side, one in back) have covered zippers. And there is also a sealable inside key pocket for your house key or just enough money to stop at the frozen custard stand. Mesh liner of 100% polyester. Machine wash. Imported. Go for the Landsend pair suggested by Michaud. The EMS pair is sub-satisfactory because it doesn't have a belt. The LandsEnd pair has a 1" wide cloth belt with a Fastex style buckle which
more secure and is just as comfortable as a drawstring. They also have zippered pockets on the side instead of just on the hip so you don't have to sit all day on whatever you want to keep secured. There's also a short cloth strap sewn into the right front pocket with a plastic snap attached so that you can hook your car keys to it. All this for $19.50 instead of $29.00 for the EMS pair. No belt, but they have a drawcord. Drawcords are more comfortable than belts with buckles when you're sitting down all day. |
