That will just raise the cost of everything you buy from any store.
Insurance companies spread this risk to all of us. The Lawyer takes
his 33-50% and keeps it all himself.

So, someone who is injured on a corporation's property should just grin
and bear it?

Nonsense.

My my. Bad enough that the rest of the Dopers don't know the proper
name for citizens of Halifax. As a 'so called' Canadian I'd have
thought you'd know better.
We're Haligonians........ one& all!

My guess would have been Hallifaxitosis

You folks will stoop to any level for a fast buck. How many slip and

You're right... that 'merican culture is all to pervasive. I blame it
on cable tv.. when we got over run with 'merican programming.

Why anyone would want American commercial tv programming is beyond my
understanding,

Presque Isle Maine TV stations offer more than enough programming to
satisfy the most discriminating Nova Scotian.

It's native and translates into "Coward who lives in a dump."

The security guard knocked her down and she was rendered unconscious.

The plainclothes "security guard" in the course of chasing an alleged
shoplifter in the store ran down a non-involved woman and knocked her
unconscious. Well, you can bet the security guard had the stand five
minutes of Wal-Mart training. I hope the woman takes Wal-Mart to the
cleaners. I wonder what was allegedly shoplifted...a pack of chewing gum?

She is from Halifax, probably already unconscious.

Ok, that's funny!
