Let's get them damn rich yacht owners!!

I wonder if the Democrats realize that it doesn't take a 'yacht' to have a head, stove, and bed. Hell, I had that in my 21' Proline. If they want to do away with a second home mortgage interest deduction, then do it for *all* second homes. Why do they pick only on boat owners? |

It's all sinners that own RVs, a little shack, in the woods, or any place other than your home. I'm far from rich. If they take away the Mortgage Deduction it will cost cost another thousand a year, in taxes. that with increased cost of health care, if they cut Medicare, and no COLAs and or reduced Social Security, would pretty much put us in the poor house. In o4 thigs looked like we would be able to enjoy our last years a little. Even in 08 they looked pretty fair. The cost of everything has multiplied, yet they tell us inflation is low. At the same time the dollar has fallen. In 94 you could exchange seventy four cents for a Euro. Now it takes around a dollar fifty. The Globalists or Foreign interest have long wanted, to reduce the dollar to parity with the lowest common denominator to help their pockets. They can now buy two or three times as much of America. We lose every round. Who is Washington getting their salaries from? |

LOL The political climate being what it is I can't see them offending the Donors. there will be big loopholes. Meanwhile the Middle Class is fair game. RVs and Boats etc cost a bundle in our world but are small potatoes to Wall Street. If anybody gets their deductions cut it will be Middle Class just like everything else they are proposing. |

We don't get a mortgage interest deduction on our income taxes for our principal home.. let alone cottages or boats. No wonder the USA is in such deep debt.... no one wants to pay their fair share of taxes. |

No wonder the USA is in such deep debt.... no one wants to pay their fair share of taxes. It's not that simple. Actually I think that most people do want to pay their fair share but it gets complicated when the rules change in mid-stream. People make long term financial decisions based on the tax structure in place at that time, and then they have to live with that decision expecting the rules to stay the same. |
