When America was growing and becoming great, there was no federal
welfare, not even income tax. A massively smaller government structure.
Charity was always local, hand ups, not hand outs. Much higher
general moral behavior. Good work ethics.

Hey, if I could be pres and get a jelly dish congress to budge, I would
eliminate all welfare. No corporate, state, civic, personal....all
gone. A thing of the past.

Want welfare, go to the local charity groups and get a hand up. Uncle
