Oh, and tell your bud there's nothing wrong with the mortar. It's the ammunition that was faulty.

And it looked like a purposeful gag on some trainees. They looked like
they were firing one for the first time, and were following
instructions and when the round flopped out of the barrel, they got
really scared and ran like heck. . But you should also notice the guy
with the camera thought it was funny and didn't flinch.

Perhaps the guy with the camera knew the round couldn't have armed itself in that situation.
