the silence of the right

congress defending this attempt by the GOP to continue shifting middle class assets to the rich. even our rabid right wingers here aren't frothing at the mouth telling us about the communists over 65 who deserve to die so the wealthy can have another billion |

The voting records are not easily found immediately or published. Wish someone would take it on to publish voting records daily, on the net and everywhere and high light positions. |

Only defense I've seen is the "won't happen for 10 years" defense. Same one Eisboch made. Don't worry, every one who voted for this will be called out by his opponent next election. "He voted to replace Medicare with death vouchers!" Don't know if that will work. After all, the voters were stupid enough to elect these jokers last time. You can't underestimate their intelligence. |

Ryan proposed a plan knowing full well it would never be approved. It's the establishment of an initial negotiating position. The bottom line is that the entire health care system in the US needs to be overhauled, including Medicare. It will mean looking at other expenditures (such as the Pentagon) and making radical adjustments. Someone has to start the ball rolling. All the politicians in Washington have been sweeping these issues under the rug for years. Eisboch but we have the PERECT system 1 it's free enterprised based 2 it makes the rich richer 3 it allows insurance companies to allow who lives and dies 4 it rations by price 5 it's more expensive than other countries' care and covers fewer people and, above all, to repeat, it makes the rich richer!! govt paid healthcare systems are cheaper and more effective. but the GOP free market fundamentalists are enthralled by the rich |

Every GOP member of the House, with four exceptions, voted for that Bill. It is now official GOP policy, and we'll be able to hang them with it. |

It'll be interesting to see how the GOP tries to walk away from it. All this to put more money in the hands of the richest at the expense of the elderly. How *very* Republican. |
