A court order requesting that the logs and or data be retained until a potential lawsuit has completed is normal. The organization will have to retain the data or they will be subject to sanction by the court for not following the courts order. They may even impound any computers of the individual who is the primary subject of the lawsuit. Deleting files on a disk doesn't do anything to cover your tracks. No one is going to give Snotty Scotty a court order. He doesn't have a leg to stand on in a lawsuit. If anything, he should be a defendant. You're just another of the morons here giving Snotty false hope. I've read the post that so "offended" Snotty Scotty. There's nothing in it but vague generalities, and nothing that is actionable. If memory serves, the name of his alleged commercial business site wasn't even mentioned. All you have to do is file the suite and then request the court issue the subpoenas to protect the evidence. If you want him to be a defendant that sue him or counter sue him. I have not communitcated with Scotty about this issue. Are you practicing law with out a law license? His commercial business is irrelevant. The threats have been made to him and his family as well as his business. The first thing I would protect is me and my family. |
