Tosk is unemployed. He has not had any employment, from what I've seen
here...years. He lives off of his Wifes back. He does NOT have a job
(at home or anywhere else).

He supposedly is an " Advisor " for his Wifes Internet Company. He
does not have the brain power to advise, or operate anything.

They also openly lie on, and about the contents of their " Web Site ".

Tosk also likes camping in Tents with under aged girls.

Tosk tries to make small boats, but likes to paint them with poor
quality paint.

Tosk withheld medication from his Daddy, until the old man...died,
allowing Tosk to scoop all his belongings and his house.

Tosk is not a nice , or trustworthy person...period.

Me either. My computer blew up at work so I don't have the luxury (or
misfortune) of tuning in here through a normal work day.

Probably for the better.

Modem?

Modem?

You're on dial up?

You know, I might still have a modem in my box'o'computer junk from the
days when I used Windows-based PCs...if only I knew where that box was
on the space-time continuum in our storage room.

Once in a while, we are the subject of "pressure" from outside

far, student and faculty activism have been able to beat back the

last decade and a half since I've been here, including one in which the
students forced the administration to pay janitors a living wage and
form a union.

I get a lunch break, but you guys get to post here all day.
Rich? Retired? Not me.

I work from home, my wife is my boss, and after 20 years, we still get
along, couldn't be better. Admittedly much of our business is now
automated, but we spent many a year and hour getting here;)

I teach at a university in the middle of the state.

What do you teach?

Upper level undergrad and some grad courses in the traditional liberal
arts.

Uh oh, one of the brainwashers!

As you know, ignorance is being worn as a badge of honor by a good
many Americans, including certain beverage-based political
organizations.

Glad to hear there's still some who are committed to edumacating our
yungins.

Through no fault of mine, we have a very high percentage of our students
going on to receive doctorates in the arts and sciences.
Smart is encouraged; stupid is not. :)

That's a good thing for our country. I hope it continues to be in
vogue at your institution and a good many others.

God forbid, however, they become part of the lame stream media!
They'll instanty become left-wing advocates of socialism rather than
trained professionals. It's unavoidable, you know.

Once in a while, we are the subject of "pressure" from outside
organizations that want us to reign in academic and student freedoms. So
far, student and faculty activism have been able to beat back the
admirers of Ned Lud. We've had some really interesting protests in the
last decade and a half since I've been here, including one in which the
students forced the administration to pay janitors a living wage and
form a union.

What about the ban on "chalking" ?

living wage in a positive light.
That should make you about an even dozen enemies.

I don't think it is being enforced anymore, maybe because the chalkings
aren't as foul or personal as they used to be. It's pretty popular at

The emergence of this beverage-based group really puts a point on it.
Their candidates don't require a basic knowledge of the constitution,
pivotal supreme court rulings or basic tenets of law. Instead, they
just supply a few common sense-isms, rail on the media, taxes, them
smart folks who got us in all this trouble, and mention the day they

Screw the greedy, the globalists and anybody who shops Walmart.

It's ok JPS, our new poster already tainted himself, progressives can't
help it, they just can't play fair here or anywhere else...

I don't know you at all, but you seem extraordinarily volatile and
subject to wide mood swings. One minute you seem to agree this would be
a better place without all the personal name calling and the next minute
you're engaging in it.

Sure, I'm progressive. I believe in progress, in moving forward, in
extending rights, in scientific development, in opening doors, in making
sure the "play" is fair. I don't believe in scapegoating, in blaming one
ethnic group or another for our society's failures, or in trying to get
ahead by scaring large blocks of nervous people.

In what way?

Scott, you need to relax and dial down your sensitivity level. Sit
back, read what you like, ignore the rest.

Hey Wayne, I am still holding my powder even though Harry, Bonnie, JPS
and our new friend still think this is the place for political
trolling...

What "political trolling" have I posted?

I teach at a university in the middle of the state.

What do you teach?

Upper level undergrad and some grad courses in the traditional liberal
arts.

I'm a liberal arts grad, U of Hawaii '71.

Paul, have you ever heard this statement?

"College teaches you how to make proper decisions on disputed
arguments."

Another one I remember: "College teaches you that if you don't know
the answer, you know how to get the answer."

Learned that my first year from one of my professors.

Makes sense to me.

Eddie

I hope you are still in Hawaii. I'd never move from there if I were
lucky enough to live there.

Hopefully, we teach our students how to think critically, which is, to
me, what you are saying with slightly different words.

I get a lunch break, but you guys get to post here all day.
Rich? Retired? Not me.

I work from home, my wife is my boss, and after 20 years, *we still get
along, couldn't be better. Admittedly much of our business is now
automated, but we spent many a year and hour getting here;)

I teach at a university in the middle of the state.

And still a political troll post, *no matter how you look at it....

It is trolling to mention teaching and academic achievement?

Look out, you've already raised some hairs. *Just mentioning higher ed
makes folks nervous around here...

Kool-aid is served year 'round hereabouts.

There really is a strong undercurrent of anti-intellectualism in this
country, more so than at any other time I can remember. It's too bad
because a dumbed down America will go down the tubes.

You mean "down the tubes" faster. The Chinese are turning out
engineers at 10 times the rate we are, many of them studying at our
universities.

The emergence of this beverage-based group really puts a point on it.
Their candidates don't require a basic knowledge of the constitution,
pivotal supreme court rulings or basic tenets of law. *Instead, they
just supply a few common sense-isms, rail on the media, taxes, them
smart folks who got us in all this trouble, and mention the day they
accepted Jesus into their lives as their personal lord and savior.

That's it! *You're electable and ready to govern! *Yahooo!

Please don't feel obligated to respond. *I'm already tainted by the
"liberal" stamp and you can remain above the fray. *You should try to
keep it that way as long as possible since you'll have chosen sides
otherwise.

I hope your students help our country rediscover the pride of a
liberal arts education, the ability to leverage well-developed
critical thinking skills, and be of a country that accepts the
responsibility of the social compact between citizens, our obligation
to the state and our country.

Your selective criticism here has already given you away... So go
ahead, tell us all the talking points... I am for progress too, but
not regressive progress which stifles free speech, and directs every
aspect of our lives... but whatever, I had hopes for you, but no
matter what clothes you wear, a wolf is still a wolf...

So Paul made a thinly veiled reference to the "Tea Party" in an off
the cuff remark. No big deal, not everyone has to love the so called
tea party movement. I'm sure the comment wasn't directed at you, and
I don't consider it a troll either. That's what I mean by dialing
down your sensitivity level.

Please stop quoting the inflammatory remarks of others, and this
