Most of you have this info in your head. But some of us aren't as bright.

My worksheet is somewhat shorter:

1. *Move to Florida

2. *Boat all year

Have you got room at your place?

Stop by any time. * There's a lot of *very* reasonably priced property
on the market these days.

I'll have to wait until the kids retire and we can all move down there.

You do read your boat and motors manual...don't you??

You do realize that most manuals put out with a new boat aren't really
meant for a mechanic, don't you?

Duh!
Johnny is far from being a mechanic!
I would expect that most manuals supplied would cover normal care &
maintenance, including winterizing.

You would then suppose wrong.

Says the " supposed " boat mechanic/dealer? What utter bull****.

That one on the river 2 up from my canal os still sitting empty. Bank
Of America hasn't even started the foreclosure yet. . It sat empty too
long. They really should have kept the renter in there for free. It is
a tear down now. The lot may still be worth $150-200k.- Hide quoted text -

Soooo.. What would it cost to put a new house up on it down there? Any
zoning issues? Taxes per year, estimate?

Panty Goddess is asking, but doesn't even have a job.....let alone any
money in reserve.

There's at least one zoning issue that should concern little man tosk:
the area doesn't allow short guys to move in... :)

Does get cold where I live. I think less freezing weather than lots of
Florida. I also run closed cooling, so the block and exhaust manifolds have
antifreeze. I drain the sandtrap if long times of cold weather are
predicted. And have a propane heater for cold days on the Sacramento Delta
for sturgeon fishing. And low humidity.

I doubt Ingersoll has the skills for that sort of job. Remember...he
couldn't hand onto a job where all he had to do was push a broom and use
a pitchfork.
