There are actually a lot fewer taxpayers than that. Because of the gap
at the bottom when the "underemployed" will drop below the threshold
where they pay income tax. It was 43% in 2009, I bet that number will
be well over 50% in the 2010 tax year.

I think that is why they want to let the Bush tax cuts expire. They
keep saying this only affects the super rich but it is also a rise of
rates across the board. Everyone's tax bill will go up.

Everyone's? Nope. You're not willing to pay for services.. fine. I am.
Just
don't dial 911 and don't use the roads, and to heck with libraries...
they're for poor people. Don't need to worry about fires and paramedics.

Everyone will pay, excerpt those below the threshold and that number
will be lower.
I am not worried about paying more, I think our rates are too low but
that is not the way this has been sold. People are being told the Bush
tax cuts only benefited the rich. That is a lie

Sorry, but you're just wrong. See previous comment.

no FEDERAL income tax. they certainly pay taxes. and in places like
texas, where there's no state income tax, the tax structure is heavily
regressive

Yeah, the poor people. Sure is easy to blame them! But those rich people,
gotta give them all the breaks.

Again you miss the point.
If you rescind the Bush tax cuts, you also raise the tax rate of those
people near the bottom. For example the 10% rate is gone, replaced by
15%, the same is true of all the rates.

the bush tax cuts would remain for people earning less than 250K

the rich, who destroyed the economy, would start to pay their fair
missing

You're conversing with a "social liberal who is also a fiscal conservative".
You haven't a chance at selling her a logical arguement. One or the other of
her bi polar positions won't buy it.

I'd be more concerned about the multiple personality disorder assholes
like you and "Larry", flajim...you know, the ones who either change
their handles here every couple of weeks, or spoof the handles of other
posters. Those are the seriously mentally ill assholes here.

How are flajim and jim doing today, dip****?
