You should really get to a good orthopedic guy or neurologist and get that knee jerk of yours checked out. Just because John is out trolling again doesn't mean that you need to be first on the hook. W'hine...netcopper. Spoofer alert! I certainly wouldn't call anyone a netcop, what with my special little buddy Don being the newsgroup typo nazi. Well, learn proper grammar and how to spell. You'll have no trouble from me, Kevin. WTF is Kevin, little buddy? Kevin Noble would be you...a 54 year old engineering technician who works in Tucker Ga. Do you need your work number...or can you still remember it? The poor dumb loogies have been so beat up here, they can't even show their usual handles anymore. |

Add a pulley and a line that is long enough. Add a pulley, aka, block where ? At the anchor.. otherwise it would be difficult to have the line run without chafe. Do they make underwater blocks? I suppose it would only need to resist the corrosive effects of sea water for a few days, so it seems like a good stainless would work fine. |

Add a pulley and a line that is long enough. Add a pulley, aka, block where ? I think her idea is great but it's a little hard to visualize. Perhaps she could draw a diagram and post a link to it. This is Plume's chance to redeem herself in the eyes of her fellow rec.boats contributors. Don't care about any redemption, but I'll give it a shot. |

Well John, she's at the boat, guess you'll have to gaff her now. Well, you sure aren't sounding like the adult some people thought you were... |

In that case, when do they let you out of the booby hatch? |

Add a pulley and a line that is long enough. Add a pulley, aka, block where ? Here you go... obviously this is not to scale, but I think you'll get the idea. More than one fender could be lowered, and in the drawing, the anchor marker is already on board. http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/7...rretrieval.png All you have to do is to have the marker attached to a line that already goes through a block at the anchor. You could even leave it as a light line, then if there's a problem, tie a heavier line to the lighter line and pull it through to the point where you could attach a fender. Another option (not sure if it's really workable) would be to have a CO2 cartridge ready at the anchor... you pull the float line, and pop! My inflatable vest claims 36 lbs. of lift... something like that..., but I still think the multiple fender option would work better. |
