We had a switch stick on our Turbocraft[hull number ten, of the first batch of jet boats ever sold in the US] once. It trashed the starter. Unfortunately the Graymarine six had the flywheel on the wrong end and starters were scarce. It had a crank nut on the front of the flywheel, so we went to a junkyard and got a crank. Casady It's possible that a Chris Craft starter would have worked, that is if it was the same bolt patern. But if it was a top loader, and if you had access to an international Harvester dealership, they probably had most of the parts to repair the starter. But that was then and this is now. |
